How she became interested in burlesque:
I love the combination of theater, performance and imagination but most of all I love the historical/vintage aspect. It gives your imagination the freedom to run wild.

How she plans to participate in Etsy's Burlesque Beauties:
I'd love to participate in the The monthly Bombshell Challenge, chat about new performers I've seen and new idea, plus collaborate with other team members.

What she sells on Etsy:
I sell fascinators and jewelery at the moment. I'm working on a collection of pasties, fans and gloves at the moment which I'll be adding soon.

How she became interested in burlesque:
I am a belly dancer who found her way into burlesque. I've been part of a troupe and I'm currently trying to start another. I'm just completely inspired by all the gorgeous burlesque ladies out there and I love helping to make them fabulous!

How she plans to participate in Etsy's Burlesque Beauties:
I love the idea of making themed items! And I am always into promoting other items that I think are gorgeous. It would be fun to have other sellers to talk to about what you're doing and what their opinions are, and just fun to share with each other.

What she sells on Etsy:
Pasties, top hats, fascinators, garter belts and pants, tribal belly dance stuff... adding new things all the time.

How she became interested in burlesque:
I am a fan of burlesque and the esthetic that goes with it, ie. feather fans, the clothing and accessories.  I think it is a very exciting and sexy expression of art.

How she plans to participate in Etsy's Burlesque Beauties:
I am very interested in the monthly themed projects and think it is a very good idea.  I don't know if there are any burlesque conventions but it would be good to create a burlesque at an event like that.

What she sells on Etsy:
I make accessories that can be worn in the hair or anywhere.

How she became interested in burlesque:
I used to perform and choreograph for an annual holiday burlesque show at the Chico Cabaret in Chico, California. I moved to Idaho and have found several other burlesque groups, but have yet to find the right fit. I miss it a lot. I am still a creative contributor to the Burlesque show in Chico. I have never had the perfect body, and burlesque encourages women of all shapes and sizes and backgrounds and I love the art of tease, instead of just sleaze, and I worked very hard to instill that in all the performers in Chico.

How she plans to participate in Etsy's Burlesque Beauties:
I would love to promote people's work to the Chico Cabaret, perhaps they could get costume pieces from team members...I am also interested in developing my skills to be able to make more than just hair accessories...I have made several costumes, but would love to do more! I would also like to be able to make lingerie, bathing suits, corsets, and hats for retro, vintage, burlesque, awesome people!

What she sells on Etsy:
Right now I have mainly purses, hair flowers, and necklaces. I make all sorts of domestic diva kinds of stuff - kitschy kitchen, etc that I would like to get up there. I even sculpt really funny pin up leg pen holders that I'd like to get out in the world.

Bombshell Challenge Recap

Hello lovelies,
As I am sure many of your have noticed, this website has kind of been in zombie mode for the past few months, running itself. What can I say, life has been complicated, but here I am, back to run the show! I thought I would go ahead of feature the few entries we've had in the challenge over the last few months. Thank you to the loyal bombshell ladies who have participated. Feel free to leave your comments for those who have participated. We will start back up with voting with the entries this month in the Moulin Rouge challenge.

MetroGypsy also put together something for the CanCan Challenge, but she must have sold it because I have not been able to track it down!

Bombshell Challenge: Moulin Rouge

July's theme for the Bombshell Challenge is Moulin Rouge. So, you have until July 30th to post a Moulin Rouge themed item to Etsy and then leave the link here in the comments. Don't forget to tag your item on etsy with "Bombshell Challenge." I'll be listening to the Moulin Rouge Soundtrack while I make my pasties this month!
